I have been with Act 1 since the very beginning, starting as a youth member and working through the ranks. I have been fortunate enough to direct, choreograph, and perform in many shows. I was also on the committee for many years before moving away for work, and re-joining when I returned to the area in 2019.

 

I have always enjoyed seeing the group go from strength to strength and I'm very excited about the next Disneyland Paris performance. Disneyland Paris trips were started back when I was first on the committee and I was lucky enough to choreograph the first one of these performances. If you haven't joined us for one of these trips keep your eyes peeled for info as it's a great experience! 

 

I studied Performing Art in Education at degree level and spent three years as a PA lecturer at East Kent College and Herne Bay High. I am now the Deputy Front of House Manager at The Marlowe Theatre, still loving being paid to be around theatre everyday.

 

My favourite show with Act 1 was Peter Pan, where I got to play Mr Darling and Captain Hook, enjoying showing off my camp, evil side! I am very excited about act 1 over the next few years as the committee has lots of exciting plans.
