It's always a pleasure to visit Act 1’s Panto. So much fun.!!

This years “Aladdin” I thought the costumes (Valerie Pankhurst) and the chorography were exceptional Rob Gore being at the helm again, I have said before, his choreography is up there with the best. A workable set design by (Beckie Clark and Mike Friday) looked good and props were good too. Michelle Friday (Director) you chose your cast well and directed them to the best of their ability. You wrote it as well!! The pace was good, but I have said it before, you need to pick up on dialogue, this would speed it up even more.

Gina Clokie playing the title role looked good and sang lyrically, Lauren Friday, Princess was the love interest, needed more volume at times, Ben Clark dominated the stage with a wicked performance as Abenaza, Widow Twanky pleasantly played by Jay Venner, gave us the “camp” in this panto and in those shoes!! Rob Gore’s beaming smile keep the kids on his side, along with Chow Mein (Maisie Waller) and Typhoo (Molly Barton) the Panda, she was so cute. Jack Whitehead, gave us a talented performance as genie of the ring, as did (Brooke Jones) as Genie of the Lamp. Ping and Pong gave this Panto the zing along factor working hard and succeeding with their comedy timing. Well done.

The ensemble of young singers, dancers, and actors were directed and choreographed by Michelle to a good standard, Act one you get better each time I see you, it really is a pleasure to come and see you all enjoying yourselves and entertaining us along the way…Thank you for a most enjoyable evening.
